Undergraduate

1. Ayurvedacharya (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery)

2. Kamil-e-Tibb-o-Jarahat (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery).

  • Duration for both the courses shall be 4 & ½ years and 01 year compulsory rotatory internship.
  • Admissions are done by the Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicine, Delhi University.
  • The candidates seeking admission to BAMS/BUMS Course must have passed Intermediate / Senior School Certificate Examination (C.B.S.E.) / Indian School Certificate Examination (12 years course) with Science (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) and English or any other equivalent qualification recognized by the University with 50% or more marks in the aggregate of three subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Biology and has also passed English from the recognized school/Board conducting regular classes situated within the NCT of Delhi.
  • While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English or other languages will not be taken into consideration.
  • Syllabus for BAMS and BUMS courses will be as per CCIM guidelines.

Admission process : The annual intake is 40 students +2 seats reserved for states where no Ayurvedic / Unani college exists+2 seats reserved for foreign nationals in each course. 85% seats are reserved for students qualifying from Delhi schools and 15% are filled on All India basis. All reservation quotas apply as per state Government policy.

Note :

  • Provided that the student has passed in all the subjects separately required for purpose of admission.
  • The candidate who has passed Sanskrit as a subject at the qualifying examination will be exempted from taking Sanskrit in 1st Prof. BAMS Course.
  • For admission to the above course he/she should has passed Hindi as one of the subjects at qualifying examination or High School/Matriculation/Secondary examination or equivalent.
  • He/ She has attained or will attain the age of Seventeen (17) years as on 31st October of the academic year in which he/she is applying.
  • All the admitted candidates in BUMS Course are required to submit a certificate that he/she has passed 8th Class Examination with Hindi. If he/she fails to submit the same certificate, he/she will not be awarded the degree of BUMS course until he/she submits the certificate to this effect.
  • Provided that the student has passed in all the subjects separately required for the purpose of admission
  • for admission to above course he/she must has passed Urdu and English as a subject either at the qualifying examination or High School/Matriculation/Secondary Examination or equivalent. While deciding the merit the marks obtained in English and Urdu will not be taken into consideration

Unani :

1. Munaf- Ul Aza(Unani Physiology)

2. Ilm –us- Saidla(Unani Pharmaceutical Science)

3. Amraz-E-Niswan And Qabalat (Unani Gynaecology & Obstetrics)

4. Moalijat (Unani Medicine)

Admission Process : Admission is on the basis of a written test conducted by Faculty of Ayurvedic & Unani Medicine, Delhi University. Annual intake is granted by CCIM and AYUSH (Government. of India) students in each branch.
